My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sammie was rescued from the Stockton pound with a couple of puppies she treated like her babies. She had a head injury that caused one of her ears to be permanently floppy, and it takes a little time to earn her trust, but once you do, she's your best friend. Sammie's a couch potato, and she loves kids...really, a great pet for a retired couple with grandkids who come to visit, or a family dog, or maybe even a hiking companion for a young single or couple. It's kind of hard to picture lazy Sammie out for a hike, but the person is more important than what they're doing :-)

Sammie's adoption fee is reduced to $75 until Feb. 10. Adoption application is still required--we want to make a good match between people and pets.
