My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hope is looking for a foster or adoptive home ASAP.

She was adopted in June as "Sweet Hope" and has become a member of our family. Though she has her quirks, we love her and want what is best for her.

Hope is a 3-4 year old blue Staffie female. She is not fixed, but we will have her fixed before she leaves. She has had litters of puppies, and has had her ears cropped prior to being adopted. She is dog-selective but does live with a small dog now. With care and training she may be able to live with other dogs, but it would be a slow process. She is not cat or rabbit safe! She walks well on a leash, but doesn't "need" one in her own yard. She just wants to be with her people!! We've worked on some basic training with her. Above all Hope wants to be LOVED. She will cuddle with you endlessly. She hates being crated/separated needlessly, but is fine when left alone during the day. She loves walks and food! She has been very good with my two small children, who are fairly rough, but can be nervous when they yell and scream. She growled at my 18-month old when she tugged on her ear (that was a first!) and though I believe it may have been just a "warning" from a mama dog, I have been keeping her separated, which she HATES. Hope is very protective of her home and will bark at noises outdoors- people prowling, knocking on door, car door slamming. She makes us feel very safe but it can be very stressful as well. She is largely very calm but loves to run and play out doors- especially FETCH.

She deserves a loving home. Please help us find one for her.
