Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi People,
I’m Cookie – and I’m a cuddly little girl who is sweet and happy and weighs only 11 pounds. I have long legs like a little colt and like to wrap them around you and snuggle as close as I can. Mom says I’m very affectionate and like to sit on anyone’s lap and give them lots of loves.
You might have seen my story because there were lots of wonderful people who wanted to help me. I came into the shelter having been hit by a car – and I had some ‘broken parts’ as the kind vets called them. The wonderful news is that I’ve healed magically on my own! According to Dad, I run like the wind (actually he said I run like a greyhound but I’m a furkid so I changed it.) Mom says you should see me on my walks. I never pull on my leash or try to lead. Mom says I’m a joy to walk! I also like riding in the car. I prefer the front passenger seat so you can call me Cookie the Navigator.
My doggy foster brother is teaching me lots of things and helping me to become more confident. I’ve learned one command so far. I know ‘sit’ and am very proud to show you. Mom and Dad are now working on other commands. Since I’m smart it won’t be long before I know them too.
I’m definitely a bit shy and timid at first in new situations – but getting more courageous all the time. Mom says I need to be approached with love and understanding – and that I truly want attention and to cuddle. You can definitely win me over with kindness and praise. (Mom says I really respond to being praised and knowing that I am pleasing her.)
I would do best in an adult home with another furkid – and I’m also very good if you have a cat. A quiet home with a yard would be wonderful. I’d like to run around and play and roll in the grass – then stretch out and enjoy the sun, followed by a good cuddle in a nearby lap. And visits to the dog park are definitely something I enjoy – a lot!
If you are looking for a sweet, happy lovebug who will hug and love you, please ask for me.
Bichon wags and waves,
Captivating and Charming Cookie
