Jerry's Story...
Jerry
I'm an 8 year old sleek black cat, like a black panther. I was surrendered with Oscar but we don't have to stay together. We're willing to split up if it means finding a forever home separately. My fur is like black velvet and ever so soft. I'm very friendly and like to be patted. I'm a little sad right now. Being surrendered is hard on some cats, like me. I'm sensitive and don't understand why we couldn't stay where we were. I'm not taking this as good as my buddy Oscar. The volunteers are giving me lots of love and attention and I'm starting to feel loved again. It's almost time for me to stop feeling sorry for myself and start working on finding a new forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jerry, a Nashua Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Nashua, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Nashua.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashua already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashua breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashua paves the way for another one to be saved.
