My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Juliette and Lizzie, a Bonded Pair!"

Juliette and Lizzie are four- and five-year-old huskies, respectively, and are true sisters, coming from the same mama. Their elderly owner is moving to a location where she can no longer keep them, so these lovely girls are looking for a happy ending.

Their former owner's daughter reports that these beautiful girls are well-behaved and good-natured. Because they are sisters, we want to find them a home together so they have each other to lean on during this transition.

Juliette had to have her right eye removed because of a genetic disorder that gave her early cataracts. She requires eye drops in her remaining eye, and the cost is very reasonable, at $12 per month. Juliette's sister, Lizzie is completely healthy, and both girls are up to date and current on all their vaccinations.

The girls'adoption fee is $200 and they are located in New Berlin, WI. Because all our Cupids are fostered in private homes, an approved application MUST be on file before proceeding with a meet-and-greet. The online application can be found at http://www.caninecupids.org/adopt-.html.

Our Thoughts on Visual Breed Identification

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable. For most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think it’s most important is to get to know each dog as an individual! We then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personalities in order to determine whether they’ll make good companions based on prospective adopters’ lifestyles. Dog behavior is not exclusive to breed — it’s a complex mix of nature and nurture.
