My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Navy! Navy is a gorgeous 2 year old Blue Pocket Pit. Navy is an active little lady. She will play at a moment’s notice. Her very favorite toy is a basketball. She will carry it, shake it, drop it at your feet, and run away with it. Navy can entertain herself for hours with her basketball. That does not mean that you can give her the ball as her only source of exercise. True to the breed, Navy needs to have plenty of mental and physical exercise. That being said, she is good on the walk and does well on the treadmill as well for those bad weather days. Navy has been around many dogs. She enjoys playing and being with bigger dogs. Although she is more on the petite side of her breed, she is strong. Navy has a strong prey drive and shouldn't be around small dogs or cats. Navy loves being indoors and hates the cold. She loves to lay by the fire and over heating vents but her favorite places to lie are beds and laps. Navy isn't a chewer and she is fully house trained. She listens well and has a lot of expression. Because Navy is an active and strong girl, a home without small children is recommended as she may unintentionally harm a child by knocking them over. Older children are fine and she loves kids that know how to be around dogs and respect her space. True to her breed, she has a need to please but Navy also needs an owner that will be calm and consistent with her in a positive manner and continue to socialize and keep her active. Applicants with a fenced yard will be given priority. Only homeowners (yes we check) will be considered due the large amount of breed restrictions in apartments. We want Navy to have a “Forever home” and not a “until I move” home. The new family will get the benefit of having a dog trainer’s advice when adopting.

If you think this gorgeous girl would make a great fit into your family, please apply online at www.centralohiodogrescue.petfinder.com.

Navy's adoption fee is $100 or donation to rescue.
