Fauna's Story...
Fauna is a young female Boxer / Shepherd mix. This girl loves to play! She is beautiful, energetic, and eager to please. Although she still needs training, she already knows sit and down. She is very food motivated which will help to further her training. Fauna will need a fenced-in yard in her new home, she loves to run, and exercise is an important tool in training. She may have too much energy for children under 8. She may be okay with another dog, depending on the personality. Use caution with cats and introduce slowly. Fauna may be the size of an adult dog, but she is still very much like a puppy. Her new family will need to understand that she needs time to adjust to her new surroundings. Once she's adjusted and has had some training, we are confident that Fauna will be an awesome companion.

*Fauna's adoption fee is $100. All HSSCM dogs have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and they are on monthly heartworm/flea prevention.*

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fauna, a Battle Creek Boxer/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Battle Creek, or seeking a Boxer/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Battle Creek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Battle Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Battle Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Boxer/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Battle Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
