The Magicis 7 (Araleesi, Asher, Calista, Emery, Jade, Killian, Malakai) were
born on Dec 9th to Liliana, who was a stray picked up only 2 weeks
beforehand. They are named after characters in the newly-published book
Ashes of Betrayal by our very own J. Dawn. Mom was an English Lop mix but their whole litter has upright ears so no telling what else they're mixed with. :)
Asher (solid brown) lives as a single bun with his foster dad. He is very curious and tends to get into everything! He is outgoing once he gets comfortable with you, and enjoys hanging out on the couch and being part of the family activity. Although Asher doesn't ask for pets and prefers not to be doted on, he definitely doesn't turn down treats from your hand. He also enjoys playing fetch with his ball. Asher is also great at using his litter box.
This bunny is currently fostered in Baton Rouge, LA.
MHRR spays/neuters all rabbits prior to adoption. Rabbits are tattoed 'MHR' in the ear during their spay or neuter (unless done prior to arrival at MHRR). Adoption fees are $50 for single bunnies or $70 for already-paired rabbits. Adoption application required.
Adoption days are held at Petsmart on Millerville in Baton Rouge (see our website for dates). Transport to other areas can sometimes be arranged after adoption application approval. We also offer 'foster-to-adopt' which is a trial run to see if a pet is the right fit prior to adoption. See magichappensrescue.com/adoptinfo for more information and an adoption application.
Want to help the bunnies but can't adopt? You can sponsor a spay or neuter or help in many other ways. See http://magichappensrescue.com/howtohelp for more ways to help.
