Facts about Daisy Mae

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) Mix
  • Color: White - With Tan, Yellow Or Fawn
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Daisy Mae is quite the character, charming everyone by sitting on their feet, turning to look up into their eyes as if to say "I'm here, you're my favorite, and I LOVE you!" Daisy is pure delight as life shines through her eyes and spreads across her face with her happy smile as she greets new people or plays fetch with you. She also has an adorable helicopter tail when she is happy. Daisy is a happy, loving girl always ready to play fetch, chew on her toys, and get love from her favorite people. She may be too exuberant for small children so would do best in a home with older children.
Daisy can be a bit pushy; she likes to be in charge and takes a little bit to warm up to other dogs. She enjoys being with both her male and female foster siblings. They will let her be in charge in some cases, and in others they let her know they have it covered. Daisy has appointed herself as protector of the household and lets your know if anyone is even thinking of coming onto the property so, she is best suited for a house over an apartment or condo.
Daisy tends to pull on walks but is controlling herself nicely with the help of a Gentle Leader.

Daisy Mae is a female/sp Labrador/Hound mix born ~January 2010 weighing 60 pounds. She is housebroken and crate trained. She has been diagnosed with hypothyroidism which is well controlled with two pills each day.

About You Lucky Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

You lucky dog rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue of homeless and abandoned dogs from the high-kill shelters of North Georgia.

We believe it is our moral responsibility to save, protect, and improve the lives of these dogs through the help of committed volunteers, foster homes, donors, local veterinarians, and trainers. We strive to re-introduce these dogs to society, assess their individual needs, and provide them with a loving temporary home while matching them with only the best, carefully screened forever homes

Come Meet Our Pets...

Check out our website for our upcoming adoption events. We hold adoptions at PetSmart at Northpoint Mall every other week and are adding new adoption locations in East Cobb soon!

Our Adoption Process...

Our Mission is to ensure the best fit for each individual dog and applicant. We will not make arrangements for you to meet any dogs outside of an adoption event until you have completed the adoption application. In addition, a dog will not be placed in your home before You Lucky Dog has conducted a thorough reference check and completed a home visit. Please understand that the adoption and home visit process is not designed to be frustrating and drawn out, but rather to guarantee the safety and happiness of the dogs. During the home check, we will make sure that each pet in that home has been neutered/spayed and is up to date on all of their shots. The home check will be completed by the foster for the dog that you are considering adopting when feasible. Our foster parents dedicate their time and money to loving and training these dogs, and we rely on their input when meeting with a potential adopter. If your application is approved and your home visit meets the requirements that we have established, you will be required to sign a contract in order to complete the adoption process. The adoption fee is $250. All dogs will be spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on all shots prior to adoptions.
