Cyrus's Story...
Cyrus is the great new cat you need in your life. This little boy is the kitty king of Purrsia and just wants to find a loving new home. Cyrus is incredibly cuddly, he looks like a little teddy bear and he really likes to be held and petted and loves getting kisses on his head. Cyrus came to 4 Paws from a shelter in Maryland. His old life was hard, his previous owners did not treat him well and now he needs all the love and affection he can get! Cyrus is skinny and will need to pack on a few pounds so that he can fill out to his full kitty potential. While his body is small his personality is large! He would like to reign over the empire of your house. Cyrus is a brown tabby boy with lots of super cute stripes all over his back, legs and tail. Please give Cyrus the chance to show you how wonderful he is. His prior luck in life hasn’t been so good and its time he finds the loving home he deserves! He’ll go down in history at the greatest cat ever once you meet him!

Cyrus was born in June 2014. He has been neutered, tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia and is up to date on all his shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cyrus, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
