REX!!! Rex is a big hunk of love! Rex is about 3 years old and weighs in at about 58lbs. He gets along great with other dogs, even got his leash tangled with a few others and had no issue and just waited patiently to get untangled. This big  boy even had a smile…

He hasn't had the easiest life, but that's all changing!! He was adopted by what he thought was his family from BARC when he was just a tiny pup. Well, over 2 years later he was dumped by that same family back at BARC with no concern for what would happen to him. Their loss for sure because he's one amazing boy!!

He's doing great in his foster home and plays well with his canine foster brother and knows how to read him when he's done playing for the day.  Rex also buddies up with the kitties in his foster home!  He responds well to verbal commands and is happy to lay quietly at the feet of his foster mom while she works.

Rex is a GREAT dog and definitely ready for his forever home!

About Scout's Honor Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Scout’s Honor Rescue is an all-breed, no-kill, Not-For-Profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization committed to bringing Courage, Character and Compassion to Houston’s homeless pet population and making a positive difference in the lives of these stray and abandoned animals and the Houston community as a whole. 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to saving the life of a homeless animal.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Scout's Honor Rescue does not currently have its own facility to keep the animals in its adoption program. All animals in our program are fostered by individuals who keep the dog or cat at their residence until it is adopted. Consider opening your home to a dog or cat in need. You become the caregiver to a precious animal – their future is in your hands! It is incredibly rewarding to know that you have given that animal the two most precious gifts- Life and Love. For many of them, this is the first kind hand they have known.

Our Adoption Process...

SHR will require an application and home visit for the adoption of any of our animals. The customary adoption fee is $150 for dogs $85 for cats.
