Here's what the humans have to say about me:
People walk past my cage and don’t give me a second glance. It’s understandable – I’m just a plain, brown tabby. I don’t have long fur, striking eye color and I’m not a kitten. But if they would just give me a chance, they would see that I am a wonderfully loving, sweetheart of a cat. Yes, I am shy – I was born outside and had little contact with humans as a kitten. But once I know you, I come out of my shell and I adore my human family! Sadly, I have been adopted twice and returned twice. The people had good hearts, but they did not understand that I need time to adjust in a new home. There are easy things they could have done to help me settle in. So, here I am – back at the adoption center hoping the third time is the charm.
I was in foster care for a while and did great! My foster family loved me! After a few months, I was one of their feline gang. I loved to follow the humans around the house. I liked to chirp to them and I really loved to snuggle on the sofa or in bed with them. I liked the other cats but was happy to amuse myself with cat toys. I even went to the cat toy box and picked out ones I wanted to play with! I am a smart cat!
I am a young cat and like to play, so the best home for me would be a quiet home that possibly has another young cat who wants a playmate. My foster family will be happy to provide guidance on helping me adjust to my new home. All I need is someone who has a kind heart and some patience.
I am up to date on my shots, spayed, tested negative for FIV and leukemia. I had my first birthday a few months ago.
Please don’t let me languish in a cage much longer – I don’t want to give up hope that my forever home is out there.
