Cookie is a stunning approximately 6 month old, tri-color German Shepherd mix with whiskey colored eyes and periodically semi-pointed ears. Sweet Cookie was found as a stray along with another littermate in southern Indiana before being added to the Rover Rescue transport.
She gets along well with large or small dogs and is getting comfortable enough to try being bossy with her canine foster family. She likes cats. Cookie has recovered from spay surgery and is house trained . She is very human oriented and does not like to be separated from her people. She cries when her foster mom goes down into the basement to do laundry. She has started feeling comfortable enough to steal house slippers, dirty socks & underwear and has been spotted tossing squeak toys to entertain herself when none of her foster siblings wants to play anymore. Cookie plays chase through the snow with her foster siblings and will pounce like a cat when she wants to start play.
Smart Cookie learned how to climb stairs in a little over a day! She is highly food motivated and adores her rabbit bon bons, so learned Sit very quickly. Cookie rides great in the car and has learned to jump in the back when it's time to go! Cookie loves children but may be too enthusiastic for extremely young ones.
