Jack's Story...
Gentleman Jack is not a fixer-upper dog, he's ready to go as your best friend and companion! Jack is a young dog, 1 or 2 years old and around 50 lbs, who has wonderful manners. He does very well on a leash, he loves to ride in the car and is very well-behaved while he's on the road, he likes other dogs and even tolerates cats. He appears to be a Catahoula/border collie/lab mix with a ridiculously long and bushy white-tipped German Shepherd tail. His salt and pepper coat has black spots hidden in it and he has white socks, a white chest and one white eyelash. He is a real attention-getter and would love to accompany you to the pet store, to the dog park, to just about anywhere you want to go. If you're a homebody, he loves to lie on the couch with a toy, too. Jack is house-trained and crate-trained. He is being fostered in Huntsville, Alabama and is neutered, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on flea, tick and heartworm prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack, a Nashville Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
