Melanie (Mel)'s Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Melanie (Mel)'s Story...
Mel has already beat heartworm once she was rescued from a pound and the money was raised to treat her. She has since tested negative and been spayed and vaccinated. Mel loves children and does well with dogs her size or larger. She stands about a foot and a half tall. Mel would love to have a fenced in yard to run in or a family who could take her for walks. She loves going for rides and does very well. Mel would be a wonderful addition to a family <3

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Melanie (Mel), a Kenton Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler for sale in Kenton, or seeking a Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler dog from a breeder in Kenton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kenton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kenton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler breeders who help with Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kenton paves the way for another one to be saved.
