Dawson's Story...
Dawson is a happy, cuddly, wiggly, energetic, goofy and good-natured, four-year-old, 65-pound, male Dogo Argentino or mix looking for a loving guardian.

Rescued in Kendall County, Illinois, Dawson sits on command and takes treats gently from your fingers. He enjoys the company of other dogs – male and female. He’s fine with cats that don’t mind playful, energetic dogs. He loves people of all ages, but he is a bit clumsy, so best with adults and older children who he can’t knock over.

Someone cropped his ears in a strange manner, probably trying to make him look tough. He’s a sweet and loving dog looking for a devoted family who will enjoy daily outdoor exercise and will continue his training. He loves to go for runs and walks with his people.

Dawson is healthy, housebroken, crate-trained, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm tested and on monthly preventative. To meet and possibly adopt Dawson, please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net or 708-224-1900. His adoption fee of $200 benefits rescued dogs. He is currently living in a foster home in Chicago, Illinois.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dawson, a Chicago Dogo Argentino/American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dogo Argentino/American Bulldog for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Dogo Argentino/American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dogo Argentino/American Bulldog breeders who help with Dogo Argentino/American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
