My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet and gentle soul is Aura, a beautiful great dane that is around 5 years old. Aura was brought to us by someone that claims to have found her running in the cold. It turned out that the claims were most likely false, and that this sweet lady was being given up for whatever reason. She was so very scared at first and tucked her tail, bowed her head, as if to try to make herself disappear. She trembled and flinched, and was quite depressed. It did not take too long for Aura to realize that she was among friends though. She is now holding her head and tail up, and leaning against anyone that shows her some love and attention. That is all that Aura wants, to be loved. She is very, very sweet and affectionate, and well behaved too. She is perfect on a leash and takes treats gently. She is pretty indifferent to other animals but would do best in a home with calm, gentle pets, like her. Aura is still shy upon meeting new people, but warms up very quickly when you stroke her head. She just wants to go to a great home with a loving family that will never give her up.....that's not too much to ask. File#24332 1/26/15
