Hi there!! I'm Delilah, or piggy for short!

My foster mom says she calls me piggy cause I'm so cute and wiggly! I am so happy all the time and am easy to please! I just want to snuggle with you for some pets or chase the ball. I am very well-behaved and know basic commands. I walk very well on a leash and often go to pet-friendly stores with my foster mom. I always get lots of compliments! I would prefer to have a family all to myself without any pets or kids. I get along with them fine but I get SO excited sometimes so I would prefer a quiet home to relax in.

I have been waiting for a home for over 2 years now, but that's ok! I am loving my life in my foster home. But I would love to have a family to call my own. My ideal family would be a couple or family with grown kids who is looking for a companion. I am medium energy so I would like daily walks and structured play. I would love a family that can give me structure and stability so I can finally relax. Could that family be you?

About Powell Animal Welfare Society

About Our Rescue Group...

Every humane organization dreams of the day when cruelty to animals can be reduced to the point of elimination and the killing of homeless animals will have ended. The Powell Animal Welfare Society (P.A.W.S.) was formed to help bring this dream to reality. Formerly known as Poundhounds Animal Welfare Society. PAWS is dedicated to rescuing dogs from Kill-Shelters. We are a non-profit all-volunteer organization devoted to ending the needless killing of homeless pets, one dog, one adopter at a time. Please check out our website at www.powellpaws.org.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Appointments to visit dogs can be made in advance by calling, 614-354-5480. We also participate in Mingle with the Mutts on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month at the Franklin County Dog Shelter located at 4340 Tamarack Blvd, Columbus, OH 43229. We have many other events as well. Please visit our website at www.powellpaws.org.

Our Adoption Process...

An adoption application must be completed prior to adopting and a adoption contract is signed at the time of adoption. Veterinarian reference and home check required. Since we do home checks for all we prefer to adopt with in central ohio. All dogs have an adoption fee of $200.00 which covers their vaccinations including rabies, heartworm testing and heartworm prevention while in our care, worming, microchipping and spay or neuter prior to adoption. Please email us at contactus@powellpaws.org if you would like to meet one of our great, adoptable dogs.
