Cookie's Story...
Cookie is at the Adopt-A-Pet Shop in Plymouth, MN- stop by and say hello!

DOB: ~8/15/14
Breed/Coloring: DSH/ Orange Tabby

Cookie is a fantastic kitten! He is a beautiful busy boy who loves to play with his toys as well as the two resident cats. His favorite activity is chasing the mouse on a string toy, he just can't get enough!
He is super friendly with kids, adults, and the resident dog. He is a talker too! He makes mewing noises when it's time to eat, when he's playing with the other cats, and when he comes into the room to see you. And, he purrs louder than any kitten I've ever heard before! I would not say he is a lap kitty yet as he prefers to sleep in one of his special spots alone, but he is a very loving kitty who gives lots of rubs and nose kisses. Cookie will do great in any kind of home that enjoys having an active kitty.

Adoption Fees: All of our cats are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated (as age appropriate), tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV, given flea/tick & heartworm preventative, & fecal tested (dewormed if needed) before being adopted out. Cookie's adoption fee is $160 including tax; adoptive homes are given all vet records at the adoption.

If you are interested in adopting, please email SavedByAWhiskerRescue@gmail.com and we will send you an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cookie, a Plymouth Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Plymouth, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Plymouth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plymouth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plymouth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plymouth paves the way for another one to be saved.
