Elmer's Story...
Poor Elmer was dumped in a night drop at a high kill shelter. He was missing hair on his back and was thin. No one wanted this sweet boy so we saved him. Elmer was having some issues with his breathing, which is common in the breed so we had his palate trimmed and his nares widened. This has made a vast improvement in his breathing and now he is doing so much better. Elmer is great with other dogs and cats too. He does well with children and is a big love bug. He is about 14 pounds and about 3-4 years old. He is on the smaller side and we believe he is a mini Boston Terrier mixed with French Bulldog with a reverse brindle coat.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elmer, a San Pedro Boston Terrier/French Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier/French Bulldog for sale in San Pedro, or seeking a Boston Terrier/French Bulldog dog from a breeder in San Pedro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Pedro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Pedro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier/French Bulldog breeders who help with Boston Terrier/French Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Pedro paves the way for another one to be saved.
