Sookie 6954's Story...
Hello, my name is Sookie. I am a three year old, male, Rat Terrier mix. I came to PAWS with my mother because my owner passed away and family members could not keep us. I am very confused about why I am here and would just like to be back in my cozy and warm home again. I am very sweet and very quiet. I like other dogs and do well with children. I would like to find a new home quickly, because even though the people here are nice, I just am very scared. It will take me some time to adjust to new people, so patience is very important with my new home. I am neutered, microchipped and am current on my vaccinations. I am crate trained and once I am comfortable around you, I do enjoy playing in the yard a lot. If you have a home that can help me reqain my trust and have patience with me, I would love to meet you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sookie 6954, a Columbus Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
