Max 6356's Story...
This handsome little man would love to become your new best friend. This is Max. He is a five year old black and tan Dachshund. His previous owners brought him to PAWS because the other dog in the family and Max did not get along very well. Max is happier in a home where he would receive a lot of attention and did not have to share it with other furry family members. He loves children and has lived with all ages. He is very energetic and loving and still loves to play. He does need to be monitored when he is outside playing so that he does not become bored and look for ways to keep busy. He sometimes gets himself into trouble if he does. He has been neutered, microchipped and is current on his vaccinations. This little guy would love to have a family to call his own. He is hoping someone special will choose him soon

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max 6356, a Columbus Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
