Billy's Story...
Hi, my name is Billy. I’m an adorable 10-year-old purebred shih tzu whose owner could no longer afford to take care of me. My foster mommy is so proud of me, because I opened up to her quite quickly, eating healthy treats right out of her hand. I am a relaxed and mellow little guy who loves lying next to your feet or on your lap. I’m also great walking on the leash, following spritely along with my two doggy foster brothers. I don’t have issues with barking, as I’m a more thoughtful one, but I can speak to you with my eyes and body language, loyally following you around the house and looking at you with love and warmth. I have no aggression issues at all, and don’t mind you grooming me, petting me, touching my ears, little mouth, and paws. I also have no problem wearing a sweater and must say I look quite snappy. I’m also up-to-date on all my shots, neutered and tested heartworm negative. I know to go outside and on wee wee pads if neccessary. Call lidna to meet me at 917 319 4304

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Billy, a Long Beach Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
