My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I'm Bento. I'm a 8 year-old neutered male Pug/Beagle mix -- that makes me a Puggle, for those of you who don't know :). I weigh about 20 pounds. As you can see from my pictures, I am just about the cutest guy around! But I'm not just a looker. I have a winning personality, too! I'm sweet and cuddly, and just an all around happy pup! In fact, I'm pretty much always smiling. Oh and I should probably mention - I get along really well with other dogs.
Now that I've told you a little about myself, I'll tell you about my past. I used to live in a house with my family. We would spend all of our time together playing, cuddling, and going on all sorts of adventures. We used to have the best time hanging out as a family!


After 5 great years together, My owners had some unfortunate events take place and were no longer able to keep me. I suddenly found myself at the rescue. No fault of my own. They'd always told me I was such a good boy! They love me very much and want to make sure I get the best home possible. Luckily, the kind people at CageFree felt the same way. They decided to make it there mission to get me a new home! Now I'm here at their facility, getting acclimated and making new friends. Hopefully I won't have to wait too long for my forever family to come along. If you like to have fun and you're sweet cuddle bug like I am, you might be the one for me!
