My name is Burrito!

Chihuahua Dog for adoption in Shelbyville, Kentucky - Burrito

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Burrito's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Burrito's Story...
Burrito is a 9 year old "blue merle" chihuahua. He is about 10lbs. He is house trained. He is dog friendly.

Burrito was surrendered to our program after he was attacked by the neighbor's dog causing his eye to pop out of socket. His Momma & Daddy could not afford to treat this expense, as this is the second time this happened. He already had that eye removed. The family felt it was best for Burrito to find him a new family.
His remanding eye was removed. He is now completely blind..but you would never know it.

Burrito is a very happy dog. He loves to snuggle, he loves treats. He follows voices very well. He has adapted to a blind life so well.

Burrito lives in a foster home with multiple other dogs- small and large. Burrito likes other dogs.

Burrito would love to be apart of your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Burrito, a Shelbyville Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Shelbyville, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Shelbyville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shelbyville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shelbyville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shelbyville paves the way for another one to be saved.
