My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Did you read that book “Homer's Odyssey?” I have a copy! That’s because I am blind, just like Homer. I’m a special, darling kitty who happens to have Retinal Degeneration, a congenital condition. I was adopted from AWLMC as a kitten but was returned after nearly 8 years due to allergies in the home. Even though I am a little scared, I trust my friends at the AWLMC, who will care for me until my forever family comes to take me home. I have a little trouble figuring out what is going on around me, but I will thrive in a consistent, loving home. I am searching for a special person or family that can help me adjust to my new world. I am super sweet and love to be petted! Are you looking for a special little companion who is filled with love, and looking for someone to share it with? I use my sense of smell, my hearing and touch (whiskers and vibrissae hairs on my feet and my face) to compensate for my vision loss. I don’t have to see you with my eyes to tell you I love you, or to snuggle up against you. I have lots of love to give. Ask my friends... I will purr and roll around for love and attention. I am looking for a quiet home to call my own with kind, understanding people to help me navigate this world. If you stop by to meet me, perhaps you can leaf through Homer's Odyssey and tell me what you think. I was born in 2006.
