Calvin's Story...
This sweet boy is 11 months old and weighs 8 lbs. He has great puppy energy and really enjoys his walks. He is good on the leash and knows some basic commands. He is great with people and gets along well with the other dog in his foster home. Calvin has a few chewing issues but they are improving. He gets along really well with kids. Calvin walks well on the leash and is not a barker. He knows SIT and POTTY OUTSIDE. He needs a gentle and loving owner. We think Calvin may have been abused as he flinches or ducks when you go to pet him. He is nervous about being picked up but doesn't act aggressively. He is more likely to whimper and shake. Calvin listens very well and is eager to please. All in all, he's a wonderful little guy who will make a great companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Calvin, a Encino Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Encino, or seeking a Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
