Tully!'s Story...
Tully was just rescued and needs a great home! Here is what his caretaker has to say about this cutie:Tully is suspected to be a mix of greyhound & borzoi - a traditional 'long dog' sighthound lurcher tradition. He was found stray and seems to be highly trained. Part of his background may have included hunting, so he is not good with small fuzzy creatures like cats and pomeranians. He has done well with smoother-coated puppies of 25lbs or more. Tully is a lean-on-you affectionate guy with gentlemanly manners. Fabulous on leash, quiet and house trained. He is playful in a gentle giant sort of way at over 90lbs. with a puppy-like flair at his 4-5 year age. Please email right away if you would like to learn more about this dog......and visit our website www.siarescuers.org to learn more about our rescue group. Adoption fees range from $150-$350 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us.We are a volunteer run, very small organization - so please be patient when waiting for a response, but feel free to check back in if you haven't heard from us in a day or so - thank you so much for considering a rescued pooch!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tully!, a Sacramento Greyhound/Borzoi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound/Borzoi for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Greyhound/Borzoi dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound/Borzoi breeders who help with Greyhound/Borzoi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
