HOOVER is a magnificent 3 to 4 year old neutered male. He was found on State Highway 80, Fort Plain and came to the shelter on January 4, 2015. He's the lovingest cat imaginable, as you'll see in the pictures. Hoover has FELV, the feline leukemia virus. Hr plays with Fiddler, our other FELV cat. About Our Shelter...

Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter operates as a
"quality of life" shelter, and the devoted workers
are committed to making sure that every animal
in their care has exactly that.

All adult animals are spayed and neutered
prior to being made available for adoption.

In addition, all animals receive all necessary shots,
wormings, and other medical treatments.

All would-be adoptive families are carefully screened
before being allowed to take home any pet. In this
way, each adopted animal is assured of a good and
loving home.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption fees are:
DOGS - $100 - Includes 2 Distemper Vaccinations, Rabies Vaccine, 2
Wormings, Flea Treatment (if needed), Vet Technician Check-up, Spay/
Neuter, License, Local Vet Office Visit.
CATS - $50 - Same as Dogs. Also a Combination Leukemia/FIV Test and Ear
Mite Treatment.
PUPPIES - $70 + $35 Mandatory Spay/Neuter Deposit - Includes 1 or 2
Distemper Vaccinations, Rabies Vaccine (if 3 months or older), 1 or 2
Wormings, Flea Treatment (if needed), Vet Technician check-up, License,
Local Vet Office Visit.
KITTENS - $15 + $35 Mandatory Spay/Neuter Deposit - Includes 1 or 2
Distemper Vaccinations, Rabies Vaccine (if over 3 months), 1 or 2 Wormings,
Flea Treatment (if needed), FELV Tested, Vet Technician check-up, Ear Mite
Treatment.
The $35 Spay/Neuter Deposit when adopting a puppy or kitten is required by
state law. It is refunded at the time the puppy or kitten is spayed/neutered.
