My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Roxie is looking for a home. This one year old beautiful hound mix was recently adopted and returned because she was too active for the family. Roxie lived with another 3 legged dog and a couple of cats and all she wanted to do was play. She was too much dog for the other dog in the family and the cats weren't too thrilled with her. The family did not have a fenced in backyard and Roxie did not get out much to expend some of her energy. She also lived with older kids and was fine with them. Roxie is a great gal that just needs a more active family with a fenced in yard to call her own. She'll be an even better dog once she returns from her training.

On March 12, 2015, Roxie was selected to be one of Friendship's Prison Dogs. She is currently undergoing training at the Grafton Correctional Institution. Prison Dogs are trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. She will spend approximately 8-12 weeks at the prison.

If you are interested in adopting this prison dog, adoption applications are now being accepted. They can be downloaded at friendshipapl.org under ADOPT-FIND A FRIEND.
