My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The Lowery's were the owners of these two sweet and gentle cats. They were an elderly couple. Mrs. Lowery died about three years ago. Her husband was in poor health and stayed in the house with his care taker. The cats could go out during the day if they wanted but were always inside at night. They had two young granddaughters, in their twenties, but after Mr. Lowery died (over a year ago) they never came to the home. I spoke several times with the people selling the house about the cats. They kept reassuring me they were finding homes for them. They had someone feeding them but they were kept outside. I got a call from the woman selling the house, she was asking for help with the cats after they sold the house, right before the holidays. Their story does give a tug at the heart strings. It must have been pretty traumatic for them to be locked out of their home. Lokie would always be sitting at the back door waiting to be let in. Cuddles was Mr. Lowery's favorite. As he was wheelchair bound, Cuddles spent a lot of time on his lap. Even all the changes they are going thru right now have gotta be tough on them. The weather is getting colder and they have no where to go to stay dry if it rains.
Well, thanks to this wonderful neighbor, after months of being abandoned, they are now in foster care. They have both had vet visits, are fixed, tested negative for FELV and FIV, treated with flea and worm meds, and vaccinated.
Lokie is a beautiful, confident, gentle and very very easy going cat. She has medium black fur that she keeps groomed. She may be a Persian Mix. Vet thinks she is about 6 years old. She does not ask for much. She will come to you for attention, likes to be petted and has an amazing purr! She gets along with other cats and a small cat friendly dog, but would be fine as an only cat! Really enjoys wet food!
Please, please give one of these cats the love and attention they so deserve for the rest of their lives. They did not ask to be abandoned and forgotten. Mr Lowery would be so happy to know that his cats are happy! They are very happy as indoor cats now and just need the right person to love them! Can be seen by appointment or at Petco Tustin on Sundays from 1 to 4.
