My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mr. Handsome, also known as Bear. Bear is an Anatolian/ Great Pyrenees mix. He escaped from his home on a farm and his owners decided not to take him back. Bear has had a few accidents in the house, so he still needs some work on that. He is great with his foster family's dog and young child, and overall is a loving dog.

Both Anatolian Shepherds and Great Pyrenees dogs are bred to guard flocks and bark warnings to animal or human trespassers. They are often gentle giants, but may be suspicious of strangers. Know that if you adopt this breed that they bark a lot and may try to escape. A fenced yard is required.

This dog’s adoption fee is $225. Adopters must live within 150 miles or 3 hours drive of the Quad City area.

For more information about Bear, email Debbie@k9kindnessrescue.org or fill out an online application at www.k9kindnessrescue.org.
