Chico Meatball's Story...

Chico was found tied to a bench outside a grocery store, with a sign placed in front of him asking someone to help him. We have no idea what kind of hard times befell his previous owners.  Chico is a happy-go-lucky 8 yr old.  He is playful, silly, and affectionate and enjoys trips to the beach, car rides, sharing your ice cream cone . . . He's a pure joy to be around, is neutered and up to date on his shots. Though he comes in a tiny package, he has a big presence and maybe too big for other male dogs, but the girls seem to like him and vice versa. His smile might be the best thing about him and will melt your heart the first time he flashes that big goofy grin at you. If you would like to meet this plump grey beard, please contact Shadow's Fund at info@shadowsfund.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chico Meatball, a Lompoc American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Lompoc, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Lompoc.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lompoc already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lompoc breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lompoc paves the way for another one to be saved.
