Captain is a male Shih Tzu approximately 2 1/2 years in age. He has a beautiful brown, gray and white coat that is thick and healthy. Captain has been professionally groomed and is non-shedding. He is a nice, sturdy size, currently weighing 14 pounds full grown. Captain is a smart dog who is able to figure out and adapt to his surroundings with ease. He is excellent with other dogs his size and good with children. Captain has a nice amount of energy without being hyper. He has wonderful indoor manners and knows how to curl up in his doggie bed when its quiet time. Captain loves walks, and trots along at a brisk pace with his beautiful tail waving in the air. He prefers to be walked with a harness, not a leash attached to his collar. He loves poking around the backyard and will keep you easy company while you garden or have a cookout. Captain is affectionate, enjoying being stroked on the head or simply laying by your feet. He has a polite way about him and will never force himself on you. He is good when company comes over, hanging out with everyone in his cheerful way. Captain was rescued from a high-volume/high-kill shelter where he was brought in stray and very neglected. He is such a patient, even tempered boy. He gets high marks for good behavior and deserves a home with people who love and appreciate how wonderful he is. He is going to make an excellent pet and companion. Captain is healthy and ready for his new forever home today!
Captain’s adoption donation is $425 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
Captain is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteers, Lynda, Eric and Lisa and is ready for his forever home.
