My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Baxter and I am an 8 yr old Cocker/Shih Tzu mix. I had been with one owner almost all of my life (since I was about 1 year) and I have a Schnauzer sister named Pebbles.

Well, Pebbles came down with cancer in her leg so our owner elected to give both of us up to rescue so that we could get the help and care she could no longer afford. She loved us very much and it was a hard decision for her but she wanted what was best for us.

I am fine...just had my checkup this week...I weigh 21 lbs, was already neutered and just had my pearlies cleaned but no extractions needed. I am in a foster home now and my sister after surgery is doing well in another local foster home.

Put me in a car and I say "go"! I love rides but also think it is so much fun to go for walks on the leash. I am a very quiet boy and know my house manners. Just being your best friend is what I am all about. I love to watch shows with dogs in them - yes I actually watch! I also like my toys - to carry around and I love to chase a ball.

I missed my sister at first but know she is going to be ok and I am ready to find a forever home to call my own.

My application fee is only $275...such a small amount for a huge heart of love I have to share. Thanks, Baxter.
