My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ben is a super handsome boy! He still have lots of puppy in him and loves to romp out in the yard with his dog friends. He is also great with the indoor cats. He weighs about 65 lbs and is pretty tall. He is about 2 years old now and isn't likely to grow much more although he may fill out a little.

He started out at the rescue ranch super shy, a really scared boy. He has really progressed and is ready to go to the next level so he can have more exposure to the world and learn new things. He would do best and progress more in a relaxed, calm home. He could be easily overwhelmed and frightened by small children and a loud home. His reaction to being overwhelmed is just to go to his crate and observe from a safe distance.

Ben is also an absolute sweetheart who is learning to enjoy being petted and having his ears rubbed. He has grown more and more cuddly as his confidence builds. He is still a little unsure of new people and prefers to watch them from the security of his crate. He is fully crate-trained, which is translating well to house-training. He spend the first few months of his life as an outdoor-only dog. He never messes his crate.

Ben loves other dogs and is most comfortable and relaxed playing with his pack. He is great with the kitties and has learned that they don't always want to play with him. He now knows that if they walk or turn away from him, he needs to go find a more interesting playmate.

We would love to find a home that can bring Ben into the center of the home and family, preferably with another playful dog to help him settle in. He loves his mealtimes and loves his treats and chew toys and ropes. He also loves to play around the water, not so much for swimming but just to check things out.

This darling boy is neutered and has received all of his vaccinations. He is ready for a real home of his own where he will be treated like a treasured member of the family.

Adoption fees range from $150-$250 for dogs. THE DOGS SHOWN ON THE SITE ARE IN FOSTERCARE - WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER TO VISIT. EMAIL is the best way to reach us.
