Lola's Story...
Lola girl is about 3 years old. She was left at the shelter by her owners for unknown reasons. She is a 12lb Chihuahua mix. Lola is slender and a bit lengthy, but what a good girl she is. She is nothing like the typical Chihuahua stereotype. She is friendly with people and dogs. She does not bark a lot and does very well with her potty training. Lola is however very much a companion girl, She loves being with her people and cuddling on the coach with them. She would probably do well in most environments, but her personality is more on the docile side.
Ms Lola is a true lady. She has not made a sound since she arrived on Sunday. She is very well mannered, she goes to the door when she needs to go out. Our Boxer, Mr. Moxy was teaching her to look for Daddy to come home, after they had come in from their outing. We gave her a busy bone and she buried it under the blanket. What a silly little Lady.
Ms Lola understands the word no. She walks on a leash, and will not walk through a door with out being called. Happily waiting for a forever home, she is coming out of her shell.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lola, a Wappingers Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Wappingers, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Wappingers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wappingers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wappingers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wappingers paves the way for another one to be saved.
