Sofie and Willie's Story...
Hi!! We are Willie and Sofie, I know, I know, you would think that gorgeous ball of fluff would be the girl - but no - that orange handsome devil is me - Willie! Sofie is the precious black and white girl with the fabulous markings! We are both about 5 months old.
We were born in a barn in Westbrook and while we're not positive we're siblings we love each other like we are. Sofie is more outgoing - she will rub around your legs looking for love and pets and I am a little more on the timid side. I do a little more watching than snuggling! We both love to play, we'll snuggle a little but really don't have time for that - we are kittens ya know!

We love other cats - there are 3 other big boys here and they love to wrestle and play with us to and in case you didn't catch on to the treat bag in Sofie's picture - we love treats!!! we're hoping Sofie gets a job as the poster cat for "party mix"!

We are ready to go to our forever home and we'd like to go together I know - she's a girl but she does play as good as a boy so she's ok! Let our foster parents know if you'd like to come see us, you can message them at peaceofthewoods@securespeed.us

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sofie and Willie, a Portland Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Portland, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
