Cleo's Story...
Hello! It's a pleasure to meet you. Don't be fooled by my size, I am the very definition of a "gentle giant." I'm super sweet, well behaved, and I've got great leash manners. I know how to sit and I'm house trained! I love going for walks, but I like an easy pace. My philosophy is to take everything in stride. Spend some time with me and you will see that I am very calm and easy-going; this attitude is sure to charm you. The way to my heart is through a but or ear scratch. Rub my rump, and I just melt. I am looking for that special someone to provide me love and care through my golden years. After churning out puppies my whole life, it's time for retirement in the best possible way. I can't wait to get spayed! This easy-going attitude extends to other dogs I may meet. But, if you are thinking of adopting, please bring any dogs in the home down to meet me first. I want to make sure that my size does not overwhelm any new canine friends. Am I the large and lovely girl for you? Come spend some time with me today.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cleo, a Harrisonburg Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
