Leona is a 3-4 month old newfie mix.....we think. She is fluffy and large. And gorgeous!! She weighs about 20 pounds. Leona and her kennel mates were pulled from a high kill shelter in TN. She is in a foster home getting adjusted to being loved! Ashlee is just the sweetest girl. Her coat is very soft and thick. All she wants right now is to be loved by a family. Leona is living with a foster family in Tennessee and will travel to her new family once she has been adopted.

Our primary source of funding comes from this adoption donation. This donation allows us to rescue other dogs in danger of being put to sleep, injured or sick dogs and dogs that have never known the comfort of a home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LEONA, a Stamford Newfoundland puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Newfoundland for sale in Stamford, or seeking a Newfoundland puppy from a breeder in Stamford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Stamford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Stamford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Newfoundland breeders who help with Newfoundland rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Stamford paves the way for another one to be saved.
