Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Juno is a 7-8 month old, Beagle mix puppy weighing almost 40 lbs, who just won the lottery in life. He was left at a high kill shelter in TN with a few siblings, back the first of October. Juno was barely 3 months old and very confused on what was happening to him. All his siblings got adopted and over the next 4 months he was jostled around from one kennel to another with many different dogs as cellmates. He got no attention for some reason, and you could see it in his eyes; they were lifeless and sad. Downtrodden is a good word for how Juno appeared as he got passed over and over again at the shelter. Then one day an angel rescue lady told his story, took pictures of him and asked Critter Cavalry Rescue to please give him a life and a future. A foster mom has now volunteered to take care of him until we can find him a home. Juno will be about 50 pounds when fully grown and just the perfect size for a family with children who want to play and throw the ball and just tumble in the grass in a wrestling match. He loves other dogs and is still getting used to real human love and attention. He would be a hit at the dog park because he makes friends everywhere. With people, Juno just needs a few minutes to grasp that you are being kind and attentive to him. He was overlooked for so many months previously at the shelter. With patience, love and consistent training, his polished manners will be complete. He is crate trained and rides beautifully in the car. He loves to follow his foster mom around and lay at her feet as reassurance that she is close by and still in sight. It seems he can’t quite believe his good fortune! He is free; no more cold concrete shelter floor, no more being cold, a little under fed and hopeless. Juno has a light in his eyes now, a future with a promise that a good and loving family will care for him and love him forever. Could that be you? ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.
