Jada is a sweet and gentle lab/pit mix, about 4 years old. She found herself in the shelter after a domestic situation in her family led them to surrender her. Her ear was damaged and is now completely healed, leaving her with one ear that stands a little taller than the other. We think it gives her character!
Jada is very affectionate and loves cuddle. She is not a high energy dog, and although she loves to romp around with the other dogs in her foster home, she also likes to curl up next to you and relax. Jada loves treats and enjoys playing with squeaky toys. Although Jada seems to adore both adults and kids, we think she would do best in a home without small children. She is somewhat timid when meeting new people, but warms up quickly once she gets to know you. She likes to snuggle with you on the couch and gets along wonderfully with everyone in her foster home (humans and canines).
Jada weighs about 45 pounds. We think she is probably a lab/pit mix, but she may have some pointer in her as evidenced by the white speckles on her face. She is very easy to walk on a leash and she is completely house trained. She is crate trained, but her foster family leaves her free in the house while they are at work during the day and she is perfectly behaved. She knows how to sit, shake, and is very well-mannered. She is up to date on all her shots and micro-chipped. She will be spayed prior to adoption. If you are looking for a new best friend, Jada may be the perfect fit for your family.
Check the events page on our website for more information and directions to meet our dogs. To adopt Jada, fill out our online dog application, or download our Microsoft Word dog application and return it to sheltersurvivors@live.com. It will help expedite the process.
