My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buster Brown is about 18 months old and is just now getting to learn about all of the wonderful things this world has to offer. He grew up at a business very close to the city shelter so we saw every weekend when we volunteered at the shelter. We loved him from the minute we saw him! His sweet, bouncy spirit and always present smile drew us to him. We worried for him every time we left him at his "home". Left the owners bags of food and put heart worm preventative on him every month. He was not abused but maybe neglected. And we wished for a better life for him. And then about a month ago he disappeared. The "owners" had no idea what had happened to him or where he had gone. And we were heartbroken. When we were walking the dogs at the shelter two weeks ago, we saw something in the distance and couldn't believe that this limping bag of bones was Buster Brown -- but it was. Apparently had been hit by a car and was hiding in the woods hurt. Long story short he is ours now and has a safe and warm place for his broken leg to heal (as of Feb 10th it has another 2 - 3 weeks). And probably the very best part is that he has no idea that his start in life wasn't so good. All he knows is that life is GREAT now! And he enjoys every second of it. Buster Brown made quick friends with the 4 resident dogs, learned the pet door in less than a minute and has not had a single accident in his crate. We have loved him for all of his 18 months and want the very best new life for him. Think you would love him too! Although he is currently in Jackson, MS, transportation to the New England area can be easily arranged.
