Buster Brown's Story...
Buster Brown is about 18 months old and is just now getting to learn about all of the wonderful things this world has to offer. He grew up at a business very close to the city shelter so we saw every weekend when we volunteered at the shelter. We loved him from the minute we saw him! His sweet, bouncy spirit and always present smile drew us to him. We worried for him every time we left him at his "home". Left the owners bags of food and put heart worm preventative on him every month. He was not abused but maybe neglected. And we wished for a better life for him. And then about a month ago he disappeared. The "owners" had no idea what had happened to him or where he had gone. And we were heartbroken. When we were walking the dogs at the shelter two weeks ago, we saw something in the distance and couldn't believe that this limping bag of bones was Buster Brown -- but it was. Apparently had been hit by a car and was hiding in the woods hurt. Long story short he is ours now and has a safe and warm place for his broken leg to heal (as of Feb 10th it has another 2 - 3 weeks). And probably the very best part is that he has no idea that his start in life wasn't so good. All he knows is that life is GREAT now! And he enjoys every second of it. Buster Brown made quick friends with the 4 resident dogs, learned the pet door in less than a minute and has not had a single accident in his crate. We have loved him for all of his 18 months and want the very best new life for him. Think you would love him too! Although he is currently in Jackson, MS, transportation to the New England area can be easily arranged. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buster Brown, a Groton Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Groton, or seeking a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Groton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groton paves the way for another one to be saved.
