Looking for the perfect dog? Keep on looking. Smokie will be the first one to tell you... there are a lot of things he doesn't like, some things he likes only some of the time, and other things he loves to the moon and back! This is a guy that knows what he wants, when he wants it, and he'll shoot it to you straight. Quirky? Or maybe he wears his emotions on his sleeve. Either way, he embraces it with complete confidence and maybe a grrrrrrr and a smile. On the flip side, for those he loves, he gives his full heart and wants nothing more than to be by your side. More than anything in the world, Smokie craves a person to call his very own. He is looking for a single human seeking companionship, someone that will include him on outdoor activities. We'll give him credit, he is being pretty patient about holding out for just the right one. He did want us to mention that he'd be willing to overlook your quirks if you can overlook his. He knows he isn't perfect, but he does have some pretty perfect qualities when it comes to stuff he likes! Smokie is an absolute joy to take hiking and he is at his best when he's out on the trails, sniffing around and investigating his surroundings! He also LOVES to take car rides or he'll happily hang out with you and watch your favorite show. If you're looking for a guy that will stick with you through thick and thin, will tell it to you straight without the sugar coating, and will give his full heart to you and only you, come meet our man Smokie! Cute as a button (don't tell him we said that) and tough as nails (you can tell him we said that). Looks good in a sweater too! One he likes that is... 8 yrs old, 19 lbs.
