Handsome Staffie/Chesapeake Bay Retriever Mix with soft wavy hair. Meet sweet Sheldon – he is looking for you and his loving, permanent home!
This three year old, good-looking boy just wants to share his love with you. He is an affectionate and very friendly doggie! Sheldon weighs in at 50.2 lbs. – not tooo….big and not tooo….small – just the perfect size doggie. He is in excellent health and physical shape, has his current rabie’s and distemper vaccinations (just completed and good for a year now), and he is also neutered.
Ready to go hiking or on walks – Sheldon will love to go with you and if you have to travel, he rides well in the car. Sheldon is good with some doggies or he will even be fine as an only pooch in the home. Not sure if he is good with cats, but probably not. He will be great with children of all ages, he takes treats from your hand ever soooo….gently!
He is crate-trained and we also feel he is a non-destructive doggie in the home. It will be fabulous if you have a house with a doggie door, than Sheldon can have the freedom to come and go inside and out-side. He does not have potty accidents inside the house and he particularly LOVES to spend time out-side to smell fresh and new things.
Sheldon loves to play with his toys (even independently) and chew on his nyla-bones. He is not a dog that is constantly jumping on you for attention. He will love to snuggle and cuddle with you while watching the television. He does love a yard to take in the sun rays, he is quite the sun bather.
He is at the right age and would love challenges given him with learning tricks and commands. Be sure to take Sheldon with you on walks, he is a quick learner and doing well on a leash! You won’t find another dog that will totally LOVE you unconditionally and to the fullest.
Sheldon was picked up as a stray, than found himself in a High Country Shelter, and no one came to claim him. The shelter has few possibilities for great adopters in their small community, so we rescued this wonderful dog and had Sheldon brought down to the valley to help him find his superior, loving family and home.
