My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LUCAS Male Labrador DOB 2011 Contact: ktmariejones@gmail.com

Lucas is an all-around GREAT dog! He had a family once, but they weren't able to care for him. One day he found himself wandering the streets, cold, hungry and alone. Things began looking up for him though when a good Samaritan saw that he needed help and stepped in. Now, thanks to that person and Twyla’s Friends he has a new outlook on life and is searching for his forever family!
Lucas is potty trained and does not chew. He is not crate trained, and sleeps on the floor beside his foster parent’s bed (not even their own dogs do that!). Lucas loves his people and wants to be near them. If you are looking for an independent dog that spends its days in a crate, in the backyard, or in a separate room of the house then Lucas is not for you! Lucas is Heartworm negative and weighs 70lbs, fully vaccinated ,neutered and microchipped.
He is very friendly dog, just watch out for his tail. It’s like a weapon and it never stops wagging! He lives in a home with 2 other dogs, 2 cats, and 2 young children. Because he is such a social lovin’ guy, he would do best in a home with another dog. Lucas walks pretty well on a leash, but could benefit from some basic click obedience training. He enjoys chewing his Nylabone, getting belly rubs, and stealing socks from the laundry basket when the laundry room door accidentally gets left open. He loves his foster family very much (and they love him!) but what he really wants is a forever family of his own. Please contact Katie at ktmariejones@gmail.com

*****If you would like more information about the dog featured above, be sure to send a note to the "Contact Person." This is the person fostering the dog and they will be happy to answer any questions you have. Please don't just show up at Adoption Day expecting every dog to be there. We are limited by the number of volunteers who can help at each Adoption Day.
Also, in sending your note to the Contact Person, be sure to include information about yourself, family, home, yard, fence, other pets, work situation, and pet accommodations. This information will help us make the best match between you and one of our dogs***
