Chester's Story...
Chester is a very sweet, loving, tender hound mix of about 60 pounds who was surrendered to the shelter. He has an adorable personality and is looking for love. Don't worry. He will make you fall head over heels without much effort. His gentle nature just brings you right in. Chester was living with, and surrendered with, other dogs and has presented as nothing but dog friendly. He's about 5 years old and can show you clown side just as easily as his couch potato side. This handsome big guy is ready to learn the ins and outs of being a family member and embraces the slightest affection with grace. He's the kind of boy you want to hang out with all the time because he just makes you feel like all is right with the world. Chester is waiting patiently at Isle Of Wight County Animal Shelter

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chester, a Windsor Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Windsor, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Windsor.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Windsor already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Windsor breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Windsor paves the way for another one to be saved.
