My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Colee is an absolute darling dachshund. She is 6 years old, weighs about 14 pounds, but, we are working at safely taking another 2 pounds off her tiny frame. Colee came into rescue because her elderly owner could no longer care or her. After a few days she smoothly transitioned into her foster family and has been a real joy to have around. Colee is very good with other dogs, she has not been cat tested. She is also very good with women, men and children that know how to respect a dachshund. Colee loves being outside on nice days and she is very good on leash. Her house training is excellent, but, as with any dog she should not be made to wait excessive hours. One of Colee’s endearing characteristics is how much she “talks” especially when she is getting a belly rub. Colee does not bark excessively, but, she does bark – primarily at strangers passing her yard. She will easily sleep in a crate, a bed especially a human bed with a human in it. Colee’s ideal Colorado home will have another small friendly dog, a fenced yard and a human who is home more than gone. To meet Colee a Coast to Coast Adoption Application must be filled out and submitted. This can be done at www.c2cdr.org. Colee has been fully vetted including dental.
