My story is a sad one...My handsome self has been waiting nearly my entire life for my forever home to find me. I was surrendered by my family when I was a year old and have been in rescues, shelters or boarding since then. I am about 7 yrs old now and wondering if I will ever have a real home of my very own.
Heck, I am an easy going and loving dog and I have great house manners. Want to play ball in the yard? I'm game. Prefer to just veg out on the couch and watch a movie? I will happily keep your feet warm and I will even let you pick the movie! I greet everyone I meet with a smile and a tail wag (thinking maybe they'll take me home??) and I am just an all around great dog.
So why am I still homeless after 6 years, you ask? Well, I used to struggle with being too reactive when meeting new dogs. Then, I got lucky and had an excellent opportunity to be fostered by one of the trainers at Tug Dogs for the last year! Guess what? I have worked really hard and have made exceptional progress and now I walk on a loose leash and ignore other dogs! My focus will be on my active family. Oh, did I say I love kids??? I would probably want to be your one and only pooch but that can be discussed.
My fans will transport me anywhere in CA or the Pacific Northwest as they really want to see me happy and loved. I want to give love too! What do you think? Love, Louie
